JC Payne has obtained whole vehicle type approval to convert SAIC Maxus Deliver 9 chassis cabs with a variety of different types of bodywork. Working closely with the approvals team at the Vehicle Certification Agency, a sample vehicle underwent the required testing and checks, done in a COVID secure manner, to enable the relevant approvals to be issued in March. JC Payne has converted chassis as a partner supplier for the Maxus team previously, providing a variety of body types on the manufacturer’s preceding model, the LDV Maxus V80.

Neil Brandrick, JC Payne Managing Director commented “we are really pleased to have been one of the first converters in the country to be able to offer a fully type approved conversion on the new Deliver 9 chassis. The chassis cab product has certainly taken a significant leap forward in quality from its predecessor and we look forward to working with the Maxus team and their growing dealership network to offer a high quality LCV solution to a variety of sectors.”
