The Salvation Army are known internationally as providing practical help for people in need. The services they provide are diverse and includes providing support to the emergency services, part of which involves providing on site refreshments and emotional support to responders at incident sites throughout the UK. In order to ensure they can provide this support, the Salvation Army require full equipped mobile units that can be utilised and deployed at short notice.
JC Payne is proud that it was recently approached by Citroen dealer Slip End Garage in order to manufacture a bespoke box on a Citroen Relay chassis that fit the requirements of the end user. Working closely with the dealer, the end user and a prior specification, the engineering department at JC Payne designed the box to ensure it met all dimensional, weight and access requirements, as well as ensuring the box was optimally set up for the onward installation of a mobile kitchen unit. Once completed and painted, the box was delivered to the third stage converter, before returning to JC Payne for its final sign off. The completed vehicle will be used by the Salvation Army to provide their invaluable support to emergency services throughout the UK.
