JC Payne (UK) Ltd is proud to announce the successful installation of a new solar panel system at our manufacturing facility in Aldridge, West Midlands. This latest investment underlines our ongoing commitment to sustainable operations and forms a key part of our journey towards achieving net zero emissions.
Installed on the roof of our 130,000 sq ft factory, the system has a total capacity of 253.44 kW and is expected to generate approximately 248,454 kWh of clean, renewable electricity each year.
To put that into context, this is enough energy to:
-
Power around 85 average UK homes for a year
-
Drive an electric vehicle over 800,000 miles
-
Boil a kettle more than 2.4 million times
-
Offset approximately 52 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually – equivalent to planting over 2,400 trees each year
Driving Greener Manufacturing
As one of the UK’s leading commercial vehicle bodybuilders, we take our environmental responsibilities seriously. From material sourcing through to end-of-life recycling, sustainability is embedded into our thinking. This solar investment not only reduces our reliance on grid electricity but also contributes to lower operating emissions across our business.
“This project reflects a long-term investment in both our operations and the environment. It’s about doing the right thing – for our customers, our community, and future generations.”
— Neil Brandrick, Managing Director
