West Midlands based bodybuilder JC Payne has this week completed the acquisition of Aire Body Care, one of the UK’s leading truck body and tail-lift repair and service companies, for an undisclosed sum. The new addition means JC Payne will now be able to offer a nationwide repair and maintenance service alongside its manufacturing business.

“We have been monitoring progress at Aire for the past two or three years and we are delighted to have completed this acquisition,” says JC Payne managing director Garry Brandrick. “We will now be able to offer customers a nationwide aftersales programme alongside our existing range of high quality bodies.

“Aire has a great team of specialist engineers based around the country, with a vast market knowledge. We have already allocated £250,000 of initial investment in a new fleet of service vans for the business and I am looking forward to seeing this part of the operation thrive in the future. It is a very exciting time for the development of our company.”

Aire Body Care, based at Witton in Birmingham, turned over £2.4 million last year and employs 25 people.
